Biography:

John is a graduate of the University of Washington (BA Economics) and the University of Washington Law School.

John maintained a CPA practice in Olympia since 1978. In 2001 John merged his predecessor firm Clees Miles CPA Group into RSM McGladrey. He served as Tax Services Director for RSM McGladrey, a CPA firm with offices throughout the United States and three (3) regional offices in the Puget Sound area until joining the Worth Law Group August 2010. John’s law practice emphasizes tax and complex estate planning for individuals and succession planning for businesses.

John has been very active in community affairs, serving currently on the board of directors of the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound (immediate past chair), the Olympia Rotary Foundation (current chair), Thurston County Roundtable and the Tronie Foundation. John has also served on the Board of Directors of the Providence St. Peter Foundation (past chair), the Providence St. Peter Hospital Community Board, TOGETHER (founder and initial board chair), South Puget Sound Community College Foundation and the Olympia Downtown Association. John has also been a board member for Heritage Financial Corporation and Heritage Bank (Olympia’s only publically owned company) for 20 years.
