Biography:


M. John Way (“John”) joined the Worth Law Group in 2006 and focuses his practice on estate planning, business planning and taxation. John works with clients advising them in all phases of wealth preservation and business planning, including developing creative plans for significantly reducing estate taxes for clients requiring complex, customized strategies. John also works with closely held businesses to provide business planning solutions, including choice of entity, taxation issues and succession planning.

After graduating from Tulane University Law School in 1995, John practiced law in Chicago as a public defender. John then took a position as a Senior Consultant for a technology consulting firm, Chicago Systems Group, wherein his duties included managing the negotiations process for large projects and legal review and expertise for developing new business. John left Chicago to pursue his dream to live in the Pacific Northwest and he returned to school at the University of Washington to obtain his LL.M. in Taxation. After obtaining his LL.M., John practiced in Portland, Oregon in the areas of estate planning, business planning and taxation.
